What does Training Evaluation mean
in practice?
We carry out qualitative training evaluation around six weeks after completion of a training measure, using structured interviews or questionnaires. Objective results are obtained because interviews are conducted by students who, being impartial, can record conversations without bias. Usually the participants are interviewed, but it could be the case that staff, colleagues and managerial staff are included in the survey. Quantitative training evaluation is one of the most exciting themes in industrial psychology as the systematics mean measures are compared with a concrete return on investment. Parameters such as error quotas, absence rates, complaints quotas, fluctuations quota, etc, need to be specifically defined prior to the exercise and then examined in the context of a defined evaluation period. We have been successful with this method in the further training field for over 13 years. Our philosophy has been confirmed by positive feed-back from our clients and by the nomination for the German Trainer Award in 2000, winning the Award in bronze in 2004 and in 2006.
